Golf Tips: Better Rhythm
A drill I recommend for a better rhythm is the "continuous
swing" drill. Tee up six balls (or more if you like) approximately
6 inches apart, and challenge yourself to hit on after the other
without stopping your swing until you have completed the line.
With a smooth tempo strike the first ball, and without hesitation,
step up to the second ball and repeat the same rhythmic swing. The
key is to maintain an even tempo and not exert too much effort.
Think in terms of swinging the club as opposed to hitting the balls.
This will help you promote a better rhythm in your swing.
Once you have perfected this drill with the short irons, then move
up to the medium irons, then the long irons, and finally the woods.
