Tips: Learn To "Square It" and "Synchronize It"
Practice hitting balls with your driver, making full swings at
50% power, learning to square the clubface at impact. This drill
will help you make solid contact with the ball, and train you to
also synchronize your swing. You will learn to work your hands,
wrists, arms, shoulders, upper body and legs together.
By lightening your grip pressure, your arms will be more supple,
increasing your clubhead speed, and adding great rhythm to your
swing. You will improve your accuracy and balance, and increase
your distance. Your clubhead will be more on plane, allowing you
to square the clubface more consistently.
This drill will tell you that you don't have to swing 100% on the
golf course to hit it far and straight. Once you have mastered squaring
the clubface at impact you'll keep your shots in play.
You can then progress to work the ball from left to right and right
to left, making you more aware of clubface position through the
ball.
