Our México golf school location operates in December and January each year.

A weekend home community for residents of México City, Malinalco is located roughly 90 minutes southwest of the city. Surrounded on all sides by mountains and naturally decorated with multi-colored bougainvillea, this resort offers a lovely and peaceful haven away from the hectic pace of life today.

The course, considered by many to be the best in México, was selected to host the 1993 Mexican PGA tournament. Several prestigious tournaments are held each year at the club, including the "Copa de Golf Malinalco" an amateur tournament with the top amateurs from Mexico and South America.

In addition to the fabulous golf course other amenities include an elegant clubhouse and Pro shop, restaurants, rental villas, a gym, tennis courts and an Olympic sized swimming pool.

Golf Instructor: Mel Sole

Former South African PGA Tour player Mel Sole is regarded by Phil Ritson as "possibly the best teacher I've ever come across".

Mel has over 30 years of teaching experience gained internationally in South Africa, Canada and the USA. His unique approach to the mental side of golf has produced amazing results for golfers who have struggled for years. Mel's diversified roster of clients includes stars in professional sports, CEO's of Fortune 500 Companies, and many more golfers of all ages and skill levels.

Club de Golf Malinalco

Malinalco is located approximately 90 minutes drive southwest of Mexico City. Considered by many to be the best in México, Malinalco was selected to host the 1993 Mexican PGA tournament.

The Mexican Golf Federation holds a very prestigious annual amateur tournament at Malinalco, with invitees from Mexico and South America. Malinalco is also the site for an annual Diplomat tournament, hosted each year by a different country's Ambassador to Mexico.

The golf course construction at Malinalco was completed in eleven months, which was a record in México, where the typical course takes two to three years to build.

This 18 hole, par 72 course features dramatic elevation changes, strategically placed bunkers, fescue fairways and undulating bent grass greens. At 7000 ft above sea-level, the ball flies much further and the course plays a little shorter than the 7151 yards marked on the scorecard from the back tees. Forward tees put the holes well within reach of higher handicappers.

With the vivid bougainvillea flowers and mountains framing every hole, Club de Golf Malinalco provides both a scenic and challenging test of golf.

Morning Session - 9.00 am to 12.30 pm

Afternoon Session - 1.30 pm to 5.00 pm

An additional 9 Hole Playing Lesson or hourly lessons can be scheduled (subject to availability; additional charge applies)/.

Our three day programs produce most overall improvement to your game and therefore take priority in reservations. Your three day program will consist of on-tee instruction including full swing with both woods and irons, chipping, putting, bunker shots and the 30 to 50 yard pitch shots.

All instruction includes extensive video taping which is dubbed onto a VHS tape with voice-over by your Instructor so you can review your lessons and drills when you are at home.

Deposit: 100% of total is required upon booking reservation.

Cancellation policy: Deposit less $50 per person administration fee is refundable up to 30 days prior to start of school starting date. Less than 30 days prior to school - loss of full amount - unless school can be filled before commencement. The Mel Sole Golf School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule programs as required by unusual circumstances and is not responsible for any loss or inconvenience incurred as a result. On such occasions, fees are refundable or transferable to another date and/or school location of your choice subject to availability.
